June 2nd: Classes, market days and more!

Beautiful day to you all!!

What an incredible warm spell – and it is still technically spring. I am astonished daily when I go out to the garden (which I’m in love with!) and see the changes that are happening out there. AMAZING!!!

Let me ask you… do you have a garden? Do you have a little green ‘something’ that you nourish and take care of and that wants to give back to you one day soon?

IF yes than you understand the love I’m talking about – to be apart of life in this way is an unbelievable feeling! If not… what’s stopping you? It doesn’t have to be a huge backyard commitment it could be a planter with one herb that you love that you can move around with the sun (however much or little of it you have in your space). IT could be some sprouts that you grow on your counter that you pay attention to daily and get to marvel in the wonder that is in such a tiny little seed!!

Why do I care so much about getting connected with nature and what you eat? I care because it comes back to conscious being! I hear people say that they can’t remember to take care of a plant – and I think – can you remember to brush your teeth? You do remember to do that – it becomes more a matter of do you want to remember? Do you want to take responsibility for what you put out and take into your body and into your life? This isn’t meant to be a harsh statement – though I am known to be a bit “to the point” in a round about way 😉 It’s so easy to get started and I’ll be talking all about it in my next workshop along with a garden tour, food making and so much more!!!

WE couldn’t accommodate everyone that wanted to join us last Friday so we’ve scheduled another Intro to Raw Food class this Saturday. Thanks to everyone that came out and joined in the class last Friday – what a great group of open souls! We all had a wonderful time.

Intro to Raw Food Prep (aka How to Make the Best Food Ever)

When: Saturday June 5th – 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Where: Green Cottage – 56 Ferrie Street West, Hamilton

In this class we will explore the basics of sprouting, blending and dehydrating. You will have the opportunity for ample sampling (a family style meal), and you’ll bring away lots of yummy recipes.

Sip Mango Lassi while preparing and enjoying delicious crackers & spreads, nori rolls, bejeweled salad, and scrump-dili-umptious sweets.

B Love’s Home Market Day

The next generation of B-Love’s pack-your-own shares has arrived.

A selection of Barbara’s menu favourites – salads, sweets, treats, crackers and other surprises will be available for pickup from Barbara’s home kitchen.

Please remember to bring your own re-usable containers to take away your B Love goodies (A variety of Tupperware containers recommended)

Also please be prepared to pay with cash.

Special orders (batch size only) can be placed by calling Barbara at 905-526-6458. Pickup dates for special orders are subject to availability.

Well I’ve got to get back into the kitchen there is so much going on in here this week – some special orders, a special catering job, class prep and more!!
